Sandisfield Board of Health Grants 30-Day Extension on South Main Street Nuisance Case
SANDISFIELD — October 10, 2025 — Sandisfield Board of Health granted a 30-day extension on a housing nuisance case at 96 South Main Street at its October 10 meeting. Only two of the board's three members, Stephen Rubenstein and Bridget Ruthman, were present for the session. Ruthman, who is handling the case, reported that the property owner has given the occupant full authority to make repairs, but that a follow-up inspection has not yet occurred and that full resolution is expected to take "at least a couple more months." The board also received an update on a noise investigation into Sama Production, a growing operation, with Ruthman noting she completed what she called a final noise reading the day of the meeting — system fully off and fully on, with eight new exhaust hoods installed — but said she had not yet reviewed the data. A formal report is expected on the November agenda.
